Mumbo Jumbo

I go back to school on Monday and I must admit:  I'm completely-so-unbelievably-like-beepin (csulb) excited for this new chapter.  WAIT.  Monday is Martin Luther King Day so class is cancelled.  I already have a day off.  It'll probably be my last.  Sweet.  Maybe I'll go see 12 Years a Slave.

Anyways.

Orientation began at 8am on a Tuesday.  Cal State University Long Beach will be my third (and final, final, final) university so I'm pretty sure I know the cal state drill.  Nonetheless, I had to attend.  Whatever.  It was awesome to meet some of my future business classmates.  And let's face it, I needed a tour of the campus.  Apparently CSULB is 4x the size of Disneyland.  A little fact about myself:  Not only am I (endearingly?) clumsy, I have a knack for getting lost.  If you ever have the pleasure of being my passenger, the accidental detours do make the trip a little more interesting.  Unless you're on the way to the airport/wedding/funeral, then that might not be so fun.  I also have a knack for procrastinating, but I'm sure I'll get past that before school starts in three days.  What I'm trying to say is: I'm positively going to get lost in a sea of undergrads for awhile.  Cool.

Despite the fact that I'm about to add a full-time school schedule to my routine (what routine?), I will not abandon this blog.  In fact, I will try to write more.  That's why Writer with a Day Job by Aine Greaney has been added to my bookstack.  [I haven't upgraded to a bookshelf yet.]  I'm going to read Greaney's book and hopefully find inspiration/new tools to balance work with school and reading and writing and a social life and jk, I'll be too broke for a social life.  Erg.*

P.S.  I'm currently working on an article for The Flairist's relaunch next month.  By request, it will be about long distance relationships.  So stay tuned for that.
